SolarCity Helps Sierra Toyota of Lancaster Go Solar

We reopened an updated and expanded dealership. The Toyota Image USA II update doubled the square footage of the service center and of offices and included an addition of a second floor. This brought us both business and a new, larger than expected electric bill. After looking at ways to reduce our energy costs and discovered that solar power fit the bill.

We selected SolarCity for the project for the breadth and depth of its commercial installation experience and its unique capacity to provide Sierra Toyota everything it needed for the project. SolarCity is the largest solar service provider in the U.S., and the only company to provide financing, design, installation, monitoring and repair services from a single source.

"Working with SolarCity has been very smooth," said Jim Hawse, President of Sierra Toyota. "They gave us a straightforward proposal with a meaningful financial analysis, and we couldn't have asked for better support from their project management and engineering teams. SolarCity takes care of every detail of our solar project-they have managed the entire work load efficiently, allowing me to focus on my dealership."

It's possible to use cleaner power and save money at the same time. We may be among the first group of Toyota dealerships to go solar, but thanks to great economics and strong support from Toyota Corporation, We shouldn't be the last.
